Ravenswood Surgery Patient Participation Group (PPG)
What is a PPG? - It's a patient-led group that works alongside GPs and practice staff to provide a patient perspective on healthcare service.
The key role of the group is to bring together patients, doctors and members of the surgery team; working in cooperation in order to promote the wellbeing of patients and support the practice to provide a high quality of care and service delivery.
The Patient Participation Group:
acts as a channel of communication between the surgery and its registered patients;
provides patients with a voice in the organisation of their care by promoting the patients’ perspective;
provides feedback on patients’ needs, concerns and interests, and challenges the practice constructively whenever necessary;
enables patients to access and make the best use of available health care;
contributes to practice decision-making and be consulted on service development and provision;
is not a platform for pursuing personal cases, for which mechanisms already exist within the surgery
Come and join us!
We would be delighted to welcome additional members to the group, get involved and bring some fresh ideas for discussion.
