Training Practice

Our Practice has strong links with the medical school at Ninewells Hospital and occasionally has visits from medical students from Dundee University during surgeries or visits.

Our Practice is also a training practice; in other words, we train doctors specialising in General Practice. These doctors are usually attached to the practice for a period of 1-3 years. They are fully qualified doctors, but they are in training to become a GP, and so surgeries or home visits may be joint, supervised or videotaped.

We also train "Scotgem students" - these are medical students preparing for a career in General Practice.

You will be advised of this beforehand and if you have any objection please advise the receptionist or GP accordingly.
